Local governance intelligence
Local government, made answerable.
Dubyu takes town, city, and county records — meetings, legislation, votes, transcripts — and makes them answerable through a specialized intelligence, open to the general public.
Ulster County is live now — ask it about the record.Ask the record

Trust is the product.
Anyone can generate text about your government. Dubyu is built on a harder standard: every answer must be traceable to the official record, or it doesn't get an answer.
Official sources only
County-published records — meeting minutes, legislation, vote rolls, transcripts. If it isn't from the county, it isn't in the answer.
One admitted source per claim
Every claim carries its source. No blended summaries, no mystery citations — you can check everything we say.
Never infer votes
We report what the record says happened. We do not guess, interpolate, or fill gaps in the official record.
Hedge or refuse
When the record is unclear, we say so plainly. An honest "we don't know" beats a confident wrong answer, every time.
PAID: the transparency arm.
PAID is our initiative to create the standard that makes Dubyu's work easier — open, consistent public records that any municipality can publish and any citizen can use. Better standards mean better answers, everywhere.
Explore the PAID initiativeA standard, not a silo
PAID works toward public-records standards so local governments can publish once and serve everyone — residents, journalists, watchdogs, and tools like Dubyu.
Ask Ulster County anything.
The Ulster County instance is live today — real meetings, real legislation, real votes. Try it, push it, see where it hedges.
Expanding across New York. More counties are in progress — the same standard, the same honesty, applied county by county.
Built for the people who need the record.
Dubyu is a resource for every municipality working to build local knowledge of governance — and for everyone who holds it accountable.
Government agencies & municipalities
Make your own proceedings searchable and answerable for the public you serve — implementation knowledge your residents can actually use.
Activists & NGOs
Track the issues you care about through the official record, with sources you can cite and share.
Lobbyists & professionals
Follow legislation, votes, and elected officials across jurisdictions — grounded in what was actually said and done.
We'll plug ahead and build what we can, how we can, with who we can.
Dubyu is going to be a great resource for all municipalities looking to build local knowledge of governance and implementation — through their elected officials, and more.
